The Cabinet Office has published its consultation paper for reforms to public procurement law for a post-Brexit Britain, outlining what promises to be the most radical changes to public procurement in a generation.
The Green Paper, titled Transforming Public Procurement, sets out potentially radical reforms that the Government promises will "speed up and simplify" government’s procurement processes, "place value for money at their heart" and "unleash opportunities for small business, charities and social enterprises to innovate in public service delivery".
On Friday 8 January we will be hosting a webinar to explore the details of the Green Paper and the impact on clients and bidders.
Join our expert speakers, with a keynote presentation from Professor Sue Arrowsmith (Professor Emerita, University of Nottingham and a member of the Government's Procurement Transformation Advisory Panel) and Parishil Patel QC of 39 Essex Chambers.
We will also be hosting two further webinars and roundtables to explore the key impacts and implications of the Green Paper and to gauge client feedback to the Paper, ahead of submitting a formal response to the Cabinet Office. Dates and invitations to these virtual events will follow in the New Year.
