How can we help you?

Public bodies can often find themselves contemplating significant and complex commercial disputes. However, such disputes can require substantial financial investment and resources, which can be a challenge for public authorities with limited budgets.

With an increased focus on reduced budgets, combined with the inherent litigation risk and costs of pursuing litigation, public authorities may be forced to forgo claims that they would otherwise be inclined to pursue, which would lead to the recovery of essential public funds.

Does litigation funding provide a solution?

We are delighted to be joined by Susan Dunn, Co-founder of Harbour Litigation Funding, who will join Helen Randall, Partner in Trowers & Hamlins Public Sector and government team and Lucy James and Charlotte Clayson, both Partners in our Commercial Litigation department specialising in public sector disputes.

During this roundtable discussion, we would like to invite you to join our  panel to discuss how litigation funding works, what funders will look for when determining which cases to fund, the advantages of having litigation funding in place and the practical and legal issues public sector bodies should be considering when contemplating litigation. We are especially looking forward to hearing your views and experiences of dealing with disputes in your public body.
