Our summer vacation schemes are a good way of finding out what life really is like as a trainee at our firm.
We offer 36 places across our London, Birmingham, Exeter and Manchester offices each year. During your time with us, you will be involved in real work - drafting, undertaking research, attending meetings and interacting with a range of people across the firm. You will be teamed with a trainee mentor who will introduce you to each department and be on hand to offer you all the guidance you need. And you will be allocated a supervisor to offer you advice on the work that you will undertake.
We pay every candidate attending our summer vacation schemes. This is currently £300 per week in London and £250 per week in Birmingham, Exeter and Manchester.
If you are interested in applying for one of our summer vacation scheme places, our comprehensive online application form can be found under the frequently asked questions section. Please note that we do not consider any other form of submission (i.e. CV and covering letter) other than our online form.
The application process for our summer vacation schemes in 2020 is now open and will close on 31 January 2020. To apply, please complete an online application form. Successful candidates will be invited to attend an assessment day in April 2020.
We assess all summer vacation students for a training contract during their time with us.
We also operate a winter open day every January. During the course of the day, attendees participate in a number of presentations on topics ranging from life as a trainee at the firm to taking a seat in the Middle East. We aim to give you a comprehensive understanding of who we are, what we do, and how we do it. As well as presentations, there will be lunch with members of our Trainee Solicitors' Committee and a team-building activity aimed at enhancing your existing skills-set.
If you are interested in applying for a place on our winter open day in 2020, you will need to complete our online application form. This will be available as of early October and the deadline for applications is 30 November 2019.
