Chuan How is a Banking and Finance Partner in Trowers & Hamlins’ International department, based in our Singapore office.

With over a decade of experience, he advises clients across the ASEAN region, including Singapore, Malaysia and the emerging markets of Cambodia, Thailand, Vietnam and Indonesia.

He specialises in advising international lenders, institutional investors, and corporate borrowers on complex cross-border financing, M&A, and infrastructure development transactions. He has led significant mandates in project and structured finance, renewable energy, and capital markets, including risk-sharing guarantee schemes, telecommunications infrastructure financing, and joint development deals.

He also regularly advises on banking regulation, fintech initiatives, and investment structuring. Known for his technically sound and commercially practical advice, Chuan How is frequently recognised for his deep understanding of local markets and regional dynamics. In particular, he is ranked by Chambers Global as an "Up-and Coming" individual for General Business Law in relation to his expertise in the Cambodia market.
