Younus Alam
Younus is an English-qualified Associate in the International Construction team and is based in Dubai.
Younus focuses on contentious and non-contentious construction and engineering matters. Younus is newly qualified, having trained with Trowers & Hamlins across its offices in London and Abu Dhabi.
Till date, Younus has been involved in a range of matters including:
- Advising a major UAE oil and gas company with an offshore island based development plan EPC project (consisting of several work packages) which involves expansion of its offshore oilfield in order to increase its gas export capacity (CAPEX circa USD 10 billion);
- Advising a major UAE oil and gas company in relation to the (i) EPC Agreement and (ii) Licence and Engineering Services Agreement, for a new process facility supplying a minimum of 1,500 MMSCFD pre-conditioned sales gas to a downstream LNG facility;
- Advising Biochemical Production Company on the design, engineering, procurement, construction and technology licensing arrangements for a first-in-kind biochemical production facility for the manufacture of xanthan gum in Saudi Arabia;
- Advising BEEAH Group in relation to the procurement strategy and the design and engineering consultancy appointments for the development of the Jawaher Boston Medical District in Sharjah (project value of approximately AED 1.5 billion); and
- Advising Oman Environmental Services Company (be'ah) in connection with reviewing and enhancing its Solid Waste Management Service Agreement.
