International law firm Trowers & Hamlins has advised the majority shareholders of SalamAir on the disposal of a majority stake in the airline to The Government of the Sultanate of Oman.
The transaction represents a strategically important development for the Omani aviation sector and supports Oman’s broader economic and tourism ambitions under the Oman Vision 2040.
SalamAir has been instrumental in advancing these objectives by expanding affordable air travel and connecting the Sultanate to an increasing network of domestic and international destinations, thereby enhancing accessibility and supporting long-term tourism and mobility goals.
Geoff Allen, Partner at Trowers, added:
"The successful exit by the majority shareholders of SalamAir marks an important milestone in the Omani aviation landscape and supports the country's global tourism goals as part of Oman's 2040 Vision promoting Oman as a premier travel destination."
The Trowers team was led by Geoff Allen and supported by William Barakat and Jessica Wee.
