How can we help you?

Trowers & Hamlins is delighted to have been named Innovative Firm of the Year at the Legal 500 Northern Powerhouse Awards. The Awards were held on Tuesday evening at The Royal Armouries Museum in Leeds.

Now in their second year, the Awards recognise legal talent across the country's North of England, North West and Yorkshire & Humber regions. Winners are determined based on The Legal 500’s independent research for the annual directory. There were 49 winners over all, across 25 categories. 9 were shortlisted in the Innovative Firm category. Winners were selected by a judging team spearheaded by The Legal 500 UK editorial team with the support of a 40-strong team of in-house and freelance researchers, drawing on their in-depth knowledge of the markets covered for the Legal 500’s UK guide.

The judges were impressed with Trowers' Race to Innovate competition, which aims to identify and develop the best innovation ideas across the firm and commended the winning solution, "Ad Astra" which gamifies the post completion process to incentivise crucial non-billable work.

Anna Browne, Head of Innovation and Legal Technology at Trowers, commented:

"At Trowers, innovation is at the heart of everything we do, so we're pleased to see that our Race to Innovate competition has been recognised at the Legal 500 Northern Powerhouse Awards. The competition is all about encouraging individuals from across the firm to come together and develop innovative solutions in an increasingly digital legal services environment."
