More than 40 leaders and representatives from across Greater Manchester met at arts and culture hub HOME to discuss city prosperity at a thought leadership event hosted by Trowers & Hamlins.

The United Nations has predicted that, by 2030, urban areas are projected to house 60% of people globally and one in every three people will live in cities with at least half a million inhabitants.

Over the next 12 months the firm is running an initiative to better understand how the built environment drives prosperity in cities and urban centres.

The first 'City Exchange' event took place in Manchester, and further thought leadership discussions are set to take place in Birmingham, Exeter and London and their surrounding towns with the aim to get representation from across the country.
