How can we help you?

We are excited to host a series of events during London International Disputes Week (LIDW) 2025. Join us as we explore key trends and innovation in dispute resolution.

We look forward to welcoming you to our session where we'll host a panel session discussing the recent case law developments from the English courts as well as the DIFC and ADGM courts on interim remedies available to victims of fraud.

Michael Rhode and Matthew Showler will be joined by Matthew Watson, Barrister at 3VB, Jeremy Richmond KC from Quadrant Chambers and Simon Oakes, Barrister at Quadrant Chambers.

Recent judgments have looked at:

  1. When freezing orders in England can be obtained in support of DIFC proceedings
  2. The use of Norwich Pharmacal orders in connection with foreign proceedings and differences of approach between the DIFC and English courts
  3. The availability of various legal remedies in the context of crypto fraud
  4. The ""immovables rule"" that a foreign Court has no jurisdiction to make orders in respect of land situated in England and that rights relating to such land are governed exclusively by English law
  5. Claims for knowing receipt and the requirement to hold a proprietary interest

Please note that this session will be followed by a sandwich lunch for those who wish to join.
