Our award-winning Energy and Infrastructure team is a market leader in assisting clients to deliver and finance large-scale projects across the Middle East

The Middle East is becoming a global hub for the aviation industry, and the region's airports are developing quickly in order to meet new challenges. We understand the legal, technical and commercial issues that are relevant to the successful creation or expansion of airport projects.

Our infrastructure team is used to advising government authorities and private-sector sponsors on the structuring, implementation and successful commissioning of new airport facilities. We have acted around the region on airport privatisations, management agreements, public-private partnerships and construction contracts. These have included build-operate-transfer (BOT) projects in Egypt and Saudi Arabia, airport privatisation in Oman, and contract strategies for the procurement of new facilities in Abu Dhabi.

We regularly work with technical consultants and financial advisors on the implementation of airport projects, and we understand the level of risk-sharing required in the development of BOT projects. Our infrastructure team includes lawyers who are familiar with project finance and with construction law issues.
