Partnering

Our specialist project teams have the depth of experience, the energy and the commitment to deliver a first-class legal service

The Egan approach to integrated procurement is here to stay, and has achieved tangible improvements to quality, health and safety, time, value for money and user satisfaction. Successful partnered procurement requires expert, practical support. We are proven in this field, as demonstrated by our work on government and industry working groups combined with our advice on over 200 partnered projects over the last decade.

Recognised as leading advisers on strategic procurement we have established a UK and international reputation in advice on partnering initiatives ranging in value from £250,000 to £2.5 billion.

We are at the forefront of innovative approaches created to meet the needs of our clients including strategic alliancing, frameworks, project partnering and term partnering. We drafted PPC2000, the first standard form Project Partnering Contract, described by Sir John Egan as "a blow for freedom" and by Sir Michael Latham as "the full monty of partnering and modern best practice" which by 2004 was in use on 6% of all UK construction projects (RICS survey). We have gone on to draft SPC2000 (the related Specialist Sub-Contract) and TPC2005 (the first standard form of Term Partnering Contract). For further information on these contracts, please refer to http://www.ppc2000.co.uk

We have advised central and local government, affordable housing providers, educational and healthcare bodies and major corporate clients in sectors that include leisure, retail, aerospace, transport and commercial development.

We believe that our experience can make a positive contribution to your interests. As part of your team, we offer services that include in-house training, setting up partnering arrangements and contract options, strategic procurement, preparation of invitation documents, evaluation procedures, completion and implementation of partnering contracts, partnering the supply chain, integration of planned and responsive works/services, advice on procurement processes and regulatory issues, advice on best value and consultation processes, and acting as 'project lawyer' or 'partnering adviser'.
