Our award winning team of dedicated construction and engineering law specialists are committed to providing the highest standard of advice in all aspects of project development and at all stages of the construction process

We are actively involved in providing advice in the construction, improvement and maintenance of rail related property including stations, depots and offices. We are instructed by a number of train operating companies to provide bespoke construction contracts and appointments which reflect the unique environment the railway industry provides. Special consideration is given to issues such as health and safety, possessions and insurance arrangements.

Our main focus is to provide advice on the most suitable way to procure construction works which meets the various interests of the parties within the railway structure. We provide "hands-on" advice and seek wherever possible to provide a comprehensive service from the initial discussions of procurement to the drafting and execution of the relevant construction contracts. We also produce standard documentation which is updated and reviewed from time to time to reflect both construction related and railway related initiatives and statutory changes.

We appreciate both the financial and programming constraints the rail industry has through the franchising system. In particular, the programme requirements of train operating companies and the need to instigate franchise commitments within an agreed programme. We take pride in meeting our clients' timetable for the particular programme or series of projects.
