Lucy Walton


Lucy is a Senior Associate in Trowers & Hamlins' International Construction department which she joined in 2016 from Eversheds.  

Lucy regularly acts on behalf of employers, main contractors and sub-contractors managing complex disputes and court proceedings which involves advising on procedure and strategy. Lucy is experienced in advising on a wide range of contentious construction work, particularly arbitrations, adjudications and alternative dispute resolution procedures including mediations and expert determinations. Lucy's recent experience includes acting for an international energy company in an LCIA arbitration and acting for an international corporation in a substantial arbitration involving a dispute with a globally renowned engineering consultancy.

On the non-contentious side, Lucy regularly drafts forms of particular and bespoke conditions of contract (particularly the FIDIC forms of contract) and has recently acted on behalf of a major US employer in regards to the drafting and negotiation of a suite of construction contracts in relation to a new catalyst plant.
