Victoria Smithers


Victoria is an associate solicitor in Trowers & Hamlins' corporate department where she joined in 2016 from Walker Morris LLP.  Victoria specialises in general company law, mergers and acquisitions and private equity.

Victoria has acted on a number of acquisitions, disposals, joint ventures and ongoing corporate governance matters. She has regular experience drafting and reviewing a variety of commercial agreements including LLP members' agreements, shareholders' agreements and articles of association. In addition, she regularly advises on reorganisations, share buybacks and reductions of share capital.

Victoria has recently undertaken a secondment with a public company listed on the London stock exchange where she was involved in its reverse takeover.

She has a particular focus in the health and social care sector and has advised on a variety of acquisitions of both properties and businesses. She has an in depth understanding of Ofsted and care quality commission compliance and registrations.

Victoria is a member of the firm's start-up initiative and regularly writes research notes and provides advice to start-ups.
