Habib Saeed


Habib is an employment lawyer based in the Birmingham office. He deals with a wide range of employment issues on a daily basis, dedicated to resolving client issues in the workplace and acts for public and private sector employers as well as individuals.

Habib has experience in employment tribunal litigation, settlement agreements, senior executive terminations, employment aspects of corporate transactions and trade union issues in the workplace. He specialises in data protection with a particular focus on employee data issues and advises on the impact of GDPR for HR, subject access requests, privacy notices and data protection policies.

Habib also spent 6 months on secondment with the in-house legal team of one of the world's largest investor-owned electric utility service providers and more recently, a 3 month secondment with a leading British renewable energy group, lending an extra edge to the commerciality of his advice.

Habib's relevant experience includes: advising on a number of a national tenders during his time on secondment with E.ON UK plc; advising on TUPE issues within a procurement context; advising on managing staff exits by way of settlement agreement and redundancy; advising on challenging queries in relation to organisational restructuring, disciplinary, grievances and investigations; defending complex tribunal matters for numerous clients, including those involving equal pay, discrimination and unfair dismissal; advising on employment policies and procedures; and delivering training sessions to various clients in the public sector on compliance with TUPE legislation and the impact of the General Data Protection Regulations for HR.
