Clarissa provides contentious advice on all aspects of construction and engineering disputes across many sectors including commercial, large scale mixed-use and residential development, engineering and major projects, energy, asset management and offsite and modular construction.
Within these sectors, Clarissa advises a broad range of clients including employers (both public and private sector), developers (commercial and residential), contractors (both upstream and supply chain), subcontractors, consultants and local authorities, helping to provide commercial and practical solutions to assist clients in achieving a resolution to their disputes without the need for formal proceedings.
Alongside proceedings in the Technology and Construction Court, Clarissa's experience extends to all forms of alternative dispute resolution, including adjudication, mediation and the resolution of claims under the pre-action protocol for construction and engineering disputes.
Clarissa is a member of the committee for the Forum for the Built Environment (London Branch) and organises the firm's monthly private residential development breakfast briefings. Clarissa also regularly delivers workshops and training sessions in relation to issues such as payment, contract management, defects, delay and disruption, termination and professional negligence.
