Rebecca McKay


Rebecca has over 15 years' experience in the pensions sector and advises on all aspects of pensions law including general advisory, corporate acquisitions, risk management exercises (including scheme closures and buy outs), restructurings, governance issues and dispute resolution.

Her client base is broad and includes trustees, employers and public sector institutions. Rebecca's experience extends across all pension scheme types and sizes from large occupational pension schemes to small contract based personal arrangements.

Rebecca specialises in investment and has significant experience of drafting and negotiating investment management agreements and other investment related documentation including ISDAs and custody agreements. Rebecca sits on the APL Investment Sub-Committee. Her key strengths are an ability to explain complex issues in simple terms and to take a pragmatic approach which helps clients navigate and successfully deliver their goals.

Rebecca is well recognised in the industry as an expert in her field. She has spoken at a number of pension events and is regularly quoted in pensions press. She sits on the committee for the Pension and Lifetime Savings Association South London Group through which she organises regular seminars on a wide range of current pensions issues.
