David Mosey


David is a specialist in UK and International construction and engineering law, with over 30 years experience advising clients, contractors, consultants and project teams across a range of building and infrastructure projects. He joined the firm in 1978, qualified in 1980 and became a Partner in 1984.

He is described as a "partnering guru" (Chambers and Partners) and has advised on more than 200 partnered projects/programmes, with values ranging from £1 million to £2 billion, in both the public and private sectors. He has particular expertise in procurement strategies, supply chain integration, risk management, problem solving and dispute avoidance.

David is author of the 'PPC2000', Standard Form of Project Partnering Contract and co-author of the 'SPC2000' Specialist Partnering Contract and the 'TPC2005' Term Partnering Contract. David is an accredited Partnering Adviser. In February 2001, David and his team won 'Construction Team of the Year' at the Legal Business Awards and in November 2009 David won the Constructing Excellence "Achiever of the Year" Award.

A frequent speaker in the UK and internationally on construction issues and public/private partnerships, David writes widely in the press, and is the author of 'Design and Build in Action' (Chandos,1998) and 'Early Contractor Involvement in Building Procurement' (Wiley Blackwell, 2009), the latter based on his doctoral thesis at King's College, London.
