Jennifer Bibbings OBE

Jennifer is a Consultant in Trowers & Hamlins' Dubai office which she joined in 1993. She specialises in many aspects of UAE corporate and commercial work, including mergers and acquisitions, distribution and franchising, and incorporations. Being based in the regional office in Dubai, Jennifer's work often involves Gulf countries other than the UAE and also the wider region. Jennifer has acted for many household names in retail, fast food, hospitality and entertainment sectors, including McDonald's, Walt Disney, Marks & Spencer, Hilton Hotels and Harvey Nichols.

Jennifer was recently appointed an Officer of the Order of the British Empire (OBE) in the Queen’s Birthday Honours List 2014. She was recognised for her services to British business interests, outstanding contributions to the community in Dubai, and her efforts to strengthen relations between the UK and the UAE. In 2013 Jennifer was named one of the most influential Brits in the UAE in the inaugural Arabian Business Brit List. She was listed as 24th in the rankings.

Jennifer is acknowledged as a legal expert by Chambers & Partners' Global Guide to the World's Leading Lawyers for Business and The Legal 500 Guide to Europe, the Middle East and Africa in the field of Corporate and Commercial. Chambers Global recently quoted:

"Jennifer Bibbings is especially strong in the hospitality sector, where she acts for clients such as Dubai Multi Commodities Centre and Southern Sun Hotels."

Jennifer was selected for inclusion in the peer-review publication, Best Lawyers International, in the specialities of Corporate and Hospitality and Tourism Law.

Jennifer is Honorary Legal Advisor to the British Consul General. She was Chairman of the British Business Group of Dubai and the Northern Emirates from 2003 to 2006, following three years as Deputy Chairman. She is a member of the governing Council of The British University in Dubai, the region's first postgraduate, research-based university. She is also a governor of Jebel Ali Primary School, one of Dubai's oldest schools.
