Digby acts for a variety of registered providers and similar clients on all aspects of real estate work, but with a particular focus on development.  Digby was recommended by The Legal 500 2015 in Social Housing.  Clients praised him for "a very knowledgeable and professional approach".

Digby has more than fifteen years' experience in the affordable housing sector, advising on a wide variety of complex real estate transactions, including:

• Acquisitions, from options and conditional purchases of land, to purchases of tenanted stock;

• Development schemes, including section 106 deals, golden brick developments and joint ventures;

• Portfolio sales and stock rationalisation transactions;

• Leasehold transactions, including the acquisition of a new headquarters building for a major RP, and portfolio acquisitions of leasehold supported housing.

Digby also has particular experience in tenants' rights of first refusal under the Landlord & Tenant Act 1987.

Digby rejoined the firm in 2013 from Malvern Hills District Council, where he had been head of legal services, having previously trained and worked at Trowers & Hamlins in London from 2001 to 2010.  He brings with him a deep understanding of the cultures and drivers of local authorities.

Digby represents Trowers & Hamlins on the Birmingham Law Society Property Committee.
