Carly is a senior associate in the Employment department, and acts predominantly for corporate entities, in relation to both contentious and non-contentious employment law matters. Carly acts for a range of UK and international clients.

Carly advises on a broad range of employment matters. Carly regularly advises on large scale restructures, including advising on changing terms and conditions of employment, collective consultation obligations and redundancy processes. Carly frequently advises on the application of TUPE in a range of situations including business transfers, outsourcing and property disposals in relation to informing and consulting under the Regulations and the risks of non-compliance.

Carly works very closely with corporate and commercial property colleagues in relation to a range of mergers and acquisitions including both business and share acquisitions and disposals. She advises, drafts and/ or negotiates a range of applicable employment matters including due diligence, structuring, TUPE, new terms of employment and warranties and indemnities. 

For several clients Carly often acts as in-house counsel to the client HR team, offering day-to-day ad hoc advice and assistance on a range of employment and HR matters including, recruitment, managing staff, grievances, disciplinaries and terminations of employment. Carly is involved in many Employment Tribunal claims where she leads the client's defence to the proceedings brought against them. Carly advises on a range of employment tribunal claims including unfair dismissals, discrimination and whistleblowing.
