Mohammed Al Subhi


Mohammed is a Lawyer in the International Dispute Resolution and Litigation team currently based in Oman. 

Prior to joining the firm, Mohammed worked with an international law firm setting his foundation in dispute resolution and a local boutique law firm that enabled him to gain expertise in general corporate matters. This has allowed him to gain extensive experience in both sectors. 

Mohammed currently focuses on international dispute resolution and litigation. He advises clients on arbitration, ad hoc arbitration and settlement disputes, represents clients before the courts of first instance in Oman, before arbitration panels and advises clients on a wide range of commercial, civil, employment, maritime, customs and corporate issues. 

Mohammed is fluent and capable of drafting in English and Arabic.

Relevant Experience

  • Part of the team acting for a large Oman-based contractor in a construction dispute in ad hoc Arabic language arbitration seated in Oman and governed by Oman law, relating to extensions of time and associated loss and expenses.
  • Part of the team acting for an industry-based company in a commercial ad hoc English language arbitration seated in Oman and governed by Oman law, arising out of an oil and gas related dispute against an Oman based company in relation to the manufacturing and supply of gas pipes to a major refinery project in Oman. 
  • Part of the team advising an Oman based company in a potential London seated ICC arbitration governed by Oman law relating to a facilities agreement for the construction and operation of a cement handling facility in Sohar Port. 
  • Acting for an advising a large Oman-based contractor in a construction dispute in ad hoc English language arbitration seated in Oman and governed by Oman law, relating to claims for certified amounts.
