Helen Randall, partner at international law firm Trowers & Hamlins has been appointed to the Law Society's LGBT+ Lawyers Division committee.

The LGBT+ Lawyers Division is the Law Society's community for lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT+) lawyers and allies, and is committed to promoting inclusion in the legal profession, reflecting the diversity of the society.

The division brings LGBT+ lawyers together to share best practice, and address current issues and challenges in a supportive environment.

Helen Randall chairs the Equality and Diversity Committee at Trowers and was appointed chair of Stonewall Housing in September 2018, alongside her role as a senior equity partner at Trowers & Hamlins.

Helen commented on her additional role with the LGBT+ Lawyers Division:

"It is an honour to have been selected as a committee member for the LGBT+ Lawyers Division, where acute focus is placed on improving the experience of LGBT+ solicitors in the profession. Having a committee that accurately represents the diversity of the profession as a whole, not only helps our sector, but also paves the way towards a more inclusive society."

Helen Randall specialises in public sector commercial law. She has been married and civilly partnered for 30 years and was former chair of the New Local Government Network and did pro bono work with Gay & Lesbian Legal Advice.
