Trowers & Hamlins to lead BIPEX 2015 technical forum

Trowers & Hamlins is pleased to announce that it will lead the technical forum at the Bahrain International Property Exhibition, known as BIPEX 2015.  This session will give developers, investors, buyers and the general public an opportunity to learn about the current market along with its projected outlook from experts.

The technical session will assess the industry's experiences so far with the Real Estate Development Law and the Leasing law.  Experts will provide opinions on the new laws and their potential impact on the industry.  The forum will also delve into the Stalled Projects Law and the impact it has had on the market as well as discussing the role the introduction of a real estate regulator would have in the context of this newly established set of laws.  In discussing these topics, there will be a panel of experts with extensive experience locally and regionally in the areas of real estate development and leasing.

“This year’s BIPEX comes at a time when the real estate market in Bahrain is enjoying a recovery with increased levels of activity across all sectors,” said Trowers & Hamlins partner Abdul-Haq Mohammed.  “This coincides with a major push by the government to establish a more advanced set of laws and regulations to govern this key industry and help encourage its growth.  This forum will provide delegates an opportunity to explore the implications of these new laws with a panel of experts.”

Trowers & Hamlins is considered to be a regional specialist and has one of the largest and most experienced teams of lawyers in the Middle East.  The firm’s international real estate team is headquartered in Bahrain and recognised by independent publications as the leading real estate legal advisory team in the country.

BIPEX 2015 is scheduled to take place on 5-7 November 2015 at the Bahrain International Exhibition and Convention Center under the patronage of His Excellency Deputy Prime Minister Sheikh Khaled bin Abdulla Al Khalifa.  The Bahrain Society of Engineers proudly presents the long-awaited property exhibition.
