Trowers & Hamlins completes sale of Tart Bar

Trowers & Hamlins' thriving Leisure team is pleased to announce that it completed the sale of a prominent bar and restaurant on Charterhouse Street in the City of London in July 2014.

The sale of the popular venue, Tart Bar, involved numerous challenges including close negotiation with the landlord's trustees to protect the client's interests and position going forwards. This sale is one of the latest in a long line of deals to demonstrate Trowers & Hamlins' commitment to structuring and delivering important sales and acquisitions in this market as it continues to emerge from the recession.

Julien Allen, Real Estate partner who led on the deal, said: "This is yet another example of Trowers' diversity and ability to deliver in the leisure market.  We are proud to be able to offer a quality, tailored service to clients of all shapes and sizes and our talented team continues to deliver excellent results for our clients."

Julien and his team regularly act for occupiers, buyers and sellers within all sectors of the hospitality and leisure market throughout the UK.  On top of closing four prominent restaurant deals this year (The Ivy Café in Covent Garden, The Chelsea Grill in Kings Road, private dining at 34, Grosvenor Square and the new Berkeley Square Brasserie), the team has recently advised on the property aspects of the sale of Wentworth Golf Club, which the firm continues to advise post-sale.
