Latest league table shows Trowers & Hamlins leading the pack on bonds and private placements for housing associations

Newly published league tables show Trowers & Hamlins' Banking and Finance team leads the pack in terms of legal advice provided on capital markets transactions, having advised on 20 capital markets transactions over the last 12 months – more than any other law firm during the same period.

According to Social Housing magazine's professionals' league table, published in July 2015, Trowers & Hamlins has secured over £1.68 billion worth of bonds and private placements on behalf of its Registered Provider clients since July 2014.  This puts the firm top of the law firm rankings over the last year in terms of both the number and value of transactions carried out.

The firm advised on seven bonds and private placements during the year valued at £100 million or more, including two £250-million fundings:  one for Orbit Group in March 2015 and another for The Guinness Partnership in October 2014.

Trowers & Hamlins acts for more than 250 Registered Providers.  The firm's Banking and Finance team is led by Adrian Carter and is made up of nine additional partners and ten lawyers.  The team is top-tier ranked in Social Housing Finance in the independently verified legal directories, Chambers UK and The Legal 500 UK.  In addition, Adrian Carter, Anna Clark and Sarah Gooden are recognised in the directories as leading individuals in Social Housing Finance.

Last year's Social Housing league table also showed Trowers & Hamlins ahead of the competition, having secured £1.31 billion worth of bond and private placements for clients.
