Trowers & Hamlins residential breakfast forum brings together senior people active in the residential market to share views and ideas on current issues relevant to the sector.

The When buying or operating a Listed building it is essential to understand the legal protections which apply, in order to avoid to enforcement action or even criminal prosecution.

Rory Stracey starts the session with a legal refresher on listed buildings. Nick Bishop, Heritage Director at Avalon Planning & Heritage, will then provide an insight into the development pitfalls and opportunities which they present, drawing on his experience as a commercial heritage consultant. 

This seminar will be of interest to anyone who buys, sells, operates or works on listed buildings and will cover:

  • What is protected in law, and how enforcement operates
  • When Listed Building Consent is required
  • How proposed alterations are assessed by the Local Planning Authority
