Local authority companies and charities
We have extensive experience of advising and assisting local authorities in the establishment of and their relationships with charities, community interest companies and other community based organisations, including the establishment and operation of leisure trusts, theatre trusts and community charities, relationships with schools, the transfer of community assets and the ongoing operation of well established charities where the authority is trustee. We also have extensive experience for advising the charities and other organisations in relation to their relationships with the local authority.
This is in addition to our experience of establishing special purpose vehicles for local authorities to participate in trading, strategic services partnerships, PFI/PPP activities, stock transfers and as ALMOs.
