All but a few developments are likely to require planning permission. We have the expertise and experience to advise not only on applications to the local planning authority and negotiation of a section 106 agreements, but also on appeals to the Secretary of State, judicial review proceedings and High Court challenges. We are used to liaising with local authorities in the pursuit of compulsory purchase orders, infrastructure agreements and road closure orders.
In assessing the value of an investment property the validity of its lawful use in planning terms is likely to be of central importance, and is often far from clear. We are well used to advising upon such matters and finding effective, pragmatic solutions appropriate to the particular transaction.
