Education and healthcare
Many Middle East states are focusing their attention on the development and upgrading of their education and health infrastructure. We have a strong track record, both in the region and in the United Kingdom, of advising clients on the successful structuring of projects in these sectors.
We have advised governments on procurement policy, and have acted for public authorities on the tendering and negotiation of public-private partnerships in the education and health fields. We also act for a number of international clients in the private sector who have bid for and won contracts for the construction, operation, management and financing of schools, hospitals and clinics.
We understand the need to be as clear as possible in setting out the parties' rights and liabilities in these critical areas, and we are used to advising on project agreements, service level agreements and key performance indicators. Examples of our work include having advised on the out-sourcing of curriculum and school management services in Abu Dhabi, and the development and financing of new healthcare facilities in Dubai.
Our team includes lawyers who are familiar with project finance/PPP, and with advising on construction and procurement strategies.
