Licensing advice is a pre-requisite to the effective running of business in the leisure sector. The last five years has seen the introduction of new regimes in the form of the Licensing Act 2003 and the Gambling Act 2005. The Consumer Credit Acts regulates the provision of credit and the supply of goods on hire to consumers. We recognise that commercial operators need effective practical advice to ensure that they avoid falling foul of the legislation.
We frequently advise clients and act for them in making applications, transferring licences following an acquisition, on review hearings, appeals and applying to vary or amend existing licences.
