This seminar is specifically for RSLs and as you will no doubt be aware the new loan market for RSLs is significantly disrupted at present. The credit crunch is having a big impact but there are also significant lender concerns post Ujima and with RSL exposure to the shared ownership and outright sale housing markets. This seminar will explain the background to some of these concerns and will look at how all these issues are affecting RSLs at the current time.

We will examine case studies and look at the practical application of place shaping powers and how to convert policy into action with examples of delivery structures. The latest legal developments will be covered including the Local Government and Public Involvement in Health Act, Local Authority Backed Vehicles (LABVI) and the European Commission's communication on infrastructure PPPs. The speakers will also look at sustainable communities and the innovative use of partnerships with RSLs.
