Tony Poole
Tony is a partner in our Corporate group and is also a member of our cross-departmental Islamic Finance team. Tony has over 20 years experience of corporate finance and general corporate commercial matters. He advises on mergers and acquisitions (both UK and cross-border share and business acquisitions and disposals); public company takeovers; corporate finance, including initial and secondary public equity offerings and privatisations; and also on private equity transactions, including acting for institutions and lenders of acquisition finance and management teams. He also provides general corporate advice regarding joint ventures, group reorganisations and UK securities and financial services law advice.
Tony also advises Islamic institutions on all aspects of corporate, financial services and securities law with regard to Islamic activities. He has been involved in the corporate structuring of Shari’ah compliant leveraged acquisitions of shares and assets, establishing Shari’ah compliant offshore funds and offerings of shares in fund companies.
