Diwakar Agarwal
Diwakar is a dualy qualified lawyer in Trowers & Hamlins' Oman office which he joined in early 2006 from Mumbai, India, where he worked for DSK Legal (formerly Andersen Legal India). In Oman, Diwakar is engaged in advising on a wide variety of areas including independent power and water privatisation projects, real estate and tourism projects besides general corporate and commercial matters for international and Oman clients.
Diwakar specialises in corporate and commercial law, and has particular experience in private equity transactions and media related laws in India and other jurisdictions and also to advises several Indian companies in respect of their initiatives in Oman. Diwakar has been awarded the British Chevening Scholarship for Young Indian Lawyers Programme in 2000.
An alumni of the National Law School of India University, Bangalore, he has worked with leading law firms in India (Little & Co, DSK Legal), consulting firms (Arthur Andersen) and private equity institution (Chrys Capital and antfactory). He was also placed with Lovells, Solicitors, London as part of the Young Indian Lawyers Programme.
