• Trowers & Hamlins looking to expand in Syria, Libya and Jordan
Adrian Creed, Partner of the international law firm Trowers & Hamlins, is returning to the firm’s Abu Dhabi office from London to help lead the expansion of the firm’s operations within Syria, Libya and Jordan.
Adrian Creed currently advises Middle East clients out of the firm's London office. He leads a team advising the Jordanian government on renewable energy projects including all of their wind power projects as well as advising Syria and Libya on major infrastructure projects.
Adrian Creed was closely involved in the recent formation of Trowers & Hamlins' association with a Syrian law firm, making Trowers & Hamlins the first major UK law firm to enter the Syrian market.
Adrian was the head of Trowers & Hamlins' Abu Dhabi office for six years between 1995 and 2002 before relocating back to London. During his time in London Adrian continued to advise on large scale projects across the Gulf region. He is currently acting on a number of substantial independent water and power production (IWPP) projects and independent power production (IPP) projects in Oman and Saudi Arabia.
Adrian Creed comments: "I've been flying back and forth from the Gulf for many years now and it’s great to be going back full time. There are some really exciting opportunities in the broader Middle East region at the moment which I am looking forward to pursuing."
Martin Amison, Head of International, of Trowers & Hamlins: "Although the credit crunch has hit the Gulf the opportunity for good long term growth in the Middle East is most definitely alive and well."
"Trowers & Hamlins has a reputation of being a pioneer and a long term, strategic investor in the Gulf and we’re keen to consolidate that reputation in the broader Middle East and North Africa."
