Trowers & Hamlins

These websites receive over 3.5 million unique visitors each year from parents who are interested in independent or university education, both in the UK and worldwide.  As part of the purchase (which was completed for an undisclosed sum), Frank Tiarks, Dotnology's founder, will remain with Gabbitas in a consultancy capacity for the next five years.

Gabbitas was acquired by Prospects Services Limited in 2008.  Ray Auvray, chairman of the Prospects group, commented, "We are delighted that this deal will reinforce Gabbitas' position as the leading advisory organisation for independent education".

Andrew Watkins, Corporate partner at Trowers & Hamlins, led the Trowers & Hamlins' team.  Watkins said, "Having acted for Prospects on its acquisition of Gabbitas we were delighted to act for Gabbitas on this latest exciting opportunity".
