Trowers & Hamlins appoints two new Partners
Paul Flood joins Trowers & Hamlins Banking & Finance team with a broad range of experience in acquisition finance, asset/project finance and insolvency work. Paul was one of the original British lawyers involved in the establishment of the London office of American law firm Leboeuf, Lamb, Greene and MacRae (now Dewey & LeBoeuf LLP). He comes to Trowers & Hamlins from Reynolds Porter Chamberlain, where he was head of the Finance practice.
Paul has developed a particularly strong track record in aviation finance and has acted for Boeing on a number of aerospace projects in the UK and overseas, including the leasing of four C-17 transport aircraft to the RAF. He also represented SeaLaunch, a company specialising in launching satellites using highly automated marine-based systems, on its initial US$450 million financing.
Martin McFall joins Trowers & Hamlins Pensions team from asb Law where he was Head of Pensions. He advises on all aspects of pensions law, including stand alone scheme advisory issues and the pensions aspects of corporate transactions and outsourcing.
Martin’s experience includes providing advice on matters such as scheme design, governance issues and the termination and administration of pension arrangements. He has particular knowledge of drafting and negotiating project agreements relating to PFI transactions. He has worked with a broad range of private and public sector clients, including Babcock International, SERCO, Mowlem, Accord plc and the Northern Ireland Water Board.
